Dear Evan Hansen tells the story of a young man with social anxiety disorder who so yearns to make a connection with his peers. So much so that he fabricates a relationship with a deceased student to become closer to the boy’s family. Coming to the Edinburgh Playhouse form 1st – 5th July 2025.
Meet Evan, a high school student grappling with anxiety and longing to fit in. But in his quest for acceptance, he bent the truth—a decision that led to a life he never imagined. As the lies unravel and the truth emerges, Evan must confront himself and the people he cares about. All in a journey of self-discovery and redemption.
